As someone who struggles with color, I’m very curious about your subtle palette guide peeking from under there. Is that something you create for each story or was it generated elsewhere?
It’s a palette I got from my day job. I don’t use all the exact colors from it, but I need to have some sort of a starting point with colors. Just picking random ones from Photoshop doesn’t work.
I’ve also found you can get palettes online. This one’s kind of neat – as you take a picture with colors you like, and it pops out a palette for you based on the image.
