As a Queen-fan, I was very curious about this book and I had to buy it. It’s great!
But in some parts I wished I read it in english because it wasn’t translated to czech very well. Ok, it’s a bit belated reaction, but I read it few days ago. I just wanted to say: Hello Mike, I like your book.
That’s great – I’m glad you liked it! I don’t think I’ve actually seen the Czech version yet. That’s a shame to hear the translation’s not great. I am really glad you were able to enjoy it despite that. – Mike
Well, I didn’t mean that the translation is bad, there were small mistakes actually (like switched contents of bubbles). And nothing can be translated from english to czech and be as good as the original. It’s really nothing to worry about.
All the best

Hello Mike. I bough you book “Freddie and Me” Yesterday and read it all last night
. It was great idea paint your memories. My life behind the “Iron Curtain” in Czechoslovakia (now in Czech Republic) was completly different, but I understand your feelings. Your story is very emotional and real. I think that your book should read every fan of Queen…one person…one story… I was on WWRY Musical in Dominion Theater in London last year and must say that was best performence ever (except Bri´s Another World Tour 1998 and Q+PR 2008 both live in Praque
)
). His father is chairman of Official Czech Queen fanclub. Now he leaved us, but it is another story…I apologize for my english, I didn´t use it for a long long time. You are great and I like your book very much
My story is about my 5 month old son. His parents are two Czech Queen fans.(So he must be the greates fan ever
Hi Tereza, thanks for writing – I’m really glad you enjoyed the book. That’s lovely to hear about your baby boy being destined to be the greatest Queen fan. I have a 2-year-old myself, who I think will grow up to enjoy Queen as well. I am jealous that you saw the Brian May tour, I imagine that must have been a good show. Best wishes, Mike
